Homemade Hot Mezze in Paris: Derya's Traditional Specialities
Derya's hot mezze is prepared in-house with fresh ingredients and served at just the right moment. Since 1998, our restaurant in Paris's 10th arrondissement has shared the flavours of Turkish, Kurdish and Mediterranean cooking. Vegetables, cheeses, bulgur, rice, lamb, herbs and spices are prepared with care to create warm starters that are crisp, tender or melting, depending on the recipe.
Cheese lovers can enjoy Kaşarlı Mantar, mushrooms baked with melted cheese, and Muska Börek, crisp pastries filled with goat's cheese. Maraş Dolması combines aubergines and peppers stuffed with aromatic rice, while İmam Bayıldı features tender aubergine filled with vegetables, tomatoes, onions and herbs, slowly cooked in olive oil.
Our garlic-sautéed onions develop a gentle caramelised sweetness, while baked spinach with garlic yoghurt combines warmth and freshness. Mücver are golden courgette and carrot fritters served with a cooling yoghurt sauce. İçli Köfte, one of the great Turkish and Kurdish specialities, encloses seasoned minced meat, onions and walnuts inside a delicate bulgur shell.
Arnavut Ciğeri combines tender lamb's liver, onions and sumac, while our Mediterranean-style sautéed prawns bring a fragrant seafood option to the table. From cheese pastries and stuffed vegetables to bulgur croquettes, every plate tells a different culinary story. Shared with family or friends, Derya's hot mezze is an inviting introduction to homemade Mediterranean food in Paris.
